Johnston, Putzmeister Rammex and Hiab
Johnston, Putzmeister, Rammex and Hiab contracting equipment will be featured on the Steel Bros (N.Z.) Ltd, display at the exhibition. Each of these brand names identifies a specialised range of products for which Steel Bros are the New Zealand agents. With Hiab, one of the world’s leading hydraulic crane brands, Steel Bros will feature the heavyweight 2070 model capable of handling 10-tonne loads. The Hiab 2070 has proved highly useful and versatile in many construction and transport roles, particularly as a truck-mounted loader for handling large and awkward lifts. Rammex is a motorised trench roller with excellent compacting ability in narrow, confined spaces. One interesting application, says Steel Bros, is a remote-controlled model that works off an infra-red signal from the operator’s console.
Putzmeister is a leading West German company making Elephant concrete pumps for industrial use. The biggest Putzmeister pump in the South Island, mounted on a Mack truck, will be featured at the exhibition. A Johnston road sweeper will be displayed. This is a new model that is proving increasingly popular with
local authorities around new Zealand. Steel Bros will also have information available on its
comprehensive range of other construction and transport products for a wide variety of applications.
