Modern equipment on show
Andrews and Beaven Industrial Equipment, Ltd, will have amongst its machinery on display at Contract ’B5 two of the most modem items of construction equipment in the world, the Champion 720 articulated grader and an 0 and K MH4G wheeled excavator. The grader and the excavator, as well as other equipment on display, are examples of Andrews and Beaven Industrial Equipment’s commitment to supplying its customers with some of the best names and latest models in the world. The Champion grader is manufactured under licence at the company’s Middleton plant, in Christchurch, while the O and K was fully imported from West Germany.
Besides these two wellknown names, Andrews and Beaven Industrial Equipment will also have on display at Contract ’B5 Furukawa loaders from Japan, Bobcat skid-steer loaders from the Clark-Mel-roe company of America and the biggest selling forklifts in the world — Toyota. Andrews and Beaven Industrial Equipment staff is continually studying the latest models from these world leaders and matching their performances with the needs of its New Zealand customers to bring the equipment best suited to our conditions. When appraising these new models, the machinery has to be tough for New Zealand conditions and have high performance, economy and dependability, such as
Furukawa construction equipment, with its worldwide reputation for quality and reliability. Mr Don Tapp, the New Zealand manager for construction machinery products for Andrews and Beaven Industrial Equipment, said that signing an agreement with Furukawa to manufacture its products under licence was a compliment to the skill and expertise which his company was able to provide. Mr Tapp said that he saw Contract ’B5 as a shop window to display the company’s products. “We are extremely happy to be part of it and hope our presence indicates our strong commitment to customers in the South Island,” Mr Tapp said.
