Shipping news Busy day for port
The port of Lyttelton will be busy today with a number of fishing trawlers and carriers arriving for fish transfers and bunkering. Two Japanese fish carriers, the Sanwa Fontaine and the Sun Happiness, are due to arrive about noon and 9 a.m. respectively. The Sanwa Fontaine will >ick up about 500 tonnes of fish from the trawler Daishin Mani 23 which arrived yesterday. A further load will be transferred from the Daishin Maru 17 which is expected on Monday. The Sun Happiness will transfer about 600 tonnes from the Eniwa Maru, expected tomorrow, before leaving for Timaru and then back to Pegasus Bay for another transfer from the trawler Ibuki Maru. Three Russian trawlers — the Agatovy, Kalton, and Kalinova — are expected in port today for bunkering. They will join the trawler Akmolynsk, which arrived yesterday, and the Mys Bobrova, which arrived on Tuesday. ARRIVALS Coastal Trader (10 a.m.), 6736, Dunedin (N.Z.5.A.1.L.).
