Rich in history is this rock fortress, Dunnottar Castle, near the town of Stonehaven in Scotland. It has been the scene of many a bloody fight since it was built in the fourteenth century. In the Civil War the castle was a Royalist stronghold, and the Scottish Crown Jewels were held there until 1652.
