Keys, gear stolen from players
Members of the Rangers Soccer Club’s senior team lost clothing, money, and other personal effects after the club’s changing-rooms were broken into about 8.30 p.m. yesterday. About 15 team members had been training at Rangers Park, in Linwood, and returned to the chang-ing-rooms to discover bags and other possessions strewn about the floors
Several players lost carkeys and about eight players lost a lot of gear, said the club’s president, Mr Colin Boatwood. The team was doing final training before leaving for Palmerston North on Friday evening to contest the Rothmans League Play-off Series this week-end. Rangers is the top regional league team in Christchurch.
