Second slalom delay

PA Wellington Conditions on the upper slopes of Turoa yesterday forced a further postponement of the giant slalom event in the Subaru national ski championships. The event has now been rescheduled for tomorrow. The technical delegate for the championships, Mr Richard Johnston, said the icy conditions on the high noon T-bar were unsuitable for racing. A meeting of the race jury decided to shift the race venue to lower down the giant chairlift to better snow conditions.
