New golf sponsorship
PA Tauranga New sponsorship has ensured the New Zealand P.G.A. golf tournament at Mount Maunganui will retain Australian and New Zealand order of merit status. .
Nissan New Zealand has announced that it will co-sponsor the event, with the long-term sponsor, Mobil Oil (N.Z.). Each company will make a $25,000 cash contribution to a purse which tournament or-
ganiser, Pat Hertnon, is confident will exceed $75,000. A purse of that size will mean continued order of merit status. ... x , The tournament will start with the traditional pro-am 18hole event on December 27.
