India starts big reactor
NZPA-AP New Delhi What India claims is the world’s largest nuclear research reactor, reportedly capable of producing weapons-grade plutonium, has begun working. The reactor, named Dhruva, went “critical,” said India’s Atomic Energy Department.
This is a condition in which a chain nuclear reaction is maintained at a constant rate before production starts.
