Advt LEADING BREEDERS SELECT NEW “NERO” IMPORT Barbara Del, the best race-winning daughter of the world champion producer Coo Doo, last season went home with a positive test to boom USA import Apollo’s Way. Barbara Del is by the leading broodmare sire Armbro Del. As well as being a tenacious racehorse Barbara Del has been very successful at stud. Her foals to date include recent winner Ruthless and the very smart juvenile Macdoon. Keith and Bevan Grice of Ashburton are renowned as very astute, careful, and most importantly very successful breeders. They booked two additional mares (also daughters of Coo Doo) into Apollo’s Way last season and stated they were very impressed with the strong physique of Apollo. After Bevan and Keith had again visited Derek Dynes’ farm in Ashburton, where Apollo's Way stands at stud, and viewed the video tapes of Apollo’s Way’s two and three year old races in the USA, they stated that in their opinion he was the best juvenile racehorse imported Into New Zealand. They considered Apollo’s Way to be a beautiful mover with a magnificent flowing pacing action and incredible determination in the final furlong. The Grice brothers have again booked mares into Apollo’s Way this season as well as earmarking two additional mares to the new exciting Albatross import F-Troop. Some other very successful breeders to patronise Apollo’s Way in his first season were Grant Sim of Southland, Des Grice of Prebbleton, Tom Harrison of Methven, H. Maw of Methven, Max Bowden of Christchurch and Maurice Vermeulen — Royal Decision’s owner. Apollo’s Way is another quality National Bloodstock stallion. Phone Derek Dynes, Winchmore 750 to view the horse and to book your mares to this grand circuit racehorse. Apollo’s Way served a full book last season and, in line with National Bloodstock policy for all their stallions, will be limited to 80 New Zealand time mares this season, so book early to avoid disappointment. Advt.
