England 100 for one
NZPA-AAP London The amount of luck David Gower enjoyed in the first session of the sixth Ashes test at The Oval in London today represented an ominous sign for Australia.
The England captain was lucky to survive on four occasions, but managed to progress to 44 at lunch, when England had 100 for the loss of only Tim Robinson for three. Gooch's 35 was a much more solid innings.
