$3.2 MILLION OF PROGENY OF NATIONAL BLOODSTOCK National Bloodstock has announced that it is continuing its $BOO,OOO per annum National Bloodstock Classic Series. This is the most expensive standardbred sponsorship contract ever signed in New Zealand and provides an additional four individual $lOO,OOO races for progeny of the nominated stallions owned by National Bloodstock Corporation Limited. The Company announced the National Bloodstock Classic Series of $600,000 for pacers and $200,000 for trotters. The Pacers' Classic Series comprises four individual two year old races each offering $lOO,OOO to the winner, if sired by a qualifying National Bloodstock stallion. An additional bonus of $200,000 is added if the same horse wins three or four of these races. With the Sires Stakes and Juvenile Championships now both $lOO,OOO races, this brings to six the $lOO,OOO plus two-year-old races for pacers, if sired by a National Bloodstock Stallion. The National Bloodstock Classic Series can be won by any progeny of stallions nominated and owned by the National Bloodstock Company. The sires nominated for the series are:-Apollo's Way, Jiffy Boy, Mostest Yankee and Speedy Summit standing in the South Island; and El Sharvid, Alba Time, Soky's Atom, New York Motoring and No Hitter standing in the North Island.
