PA Auckland Repco Corporation, New Zealand, Ltd, has reported a 63.5 per cent boost to audited tax paid earnings to a record $13,026,000 in the year to June 30. Extraordinary net gains of $821,000 lifted total profit for the year to 313,847,000. The non-trading profit arose from the difference between gains on the sale of properties and investments ($1,583,000) and losses resulting from restructuring and re-locations ($762,000). Provision for tax was $2,795,000, against $306,000 in 1984. Depreciation for the year was $3,217,000 ($2,631,000). The directors recommend a final dividend of 4.5 c a share (9 per cent), which will be paid tax-free on November 1, ex October 15. The final distribution will lift total payout for the year to 8.5 c a share from the 7.5 c paid in 1984.
