Carbonic Ice to change name?
PA Auckland Carbonic Ice, Ltd, will hold an extraordinary meeting on September 20 to consider changing the company’s name to Waste Management N.Z., Ltd.
The directors say the name Waste Management is more appropriate to the company’s predominant activity, which is now in the waste industry. The operating subsidiaries in the industry — A. W. Bryant, Ltd, Bad Bins, Ltd, Solid Waste Systems, Ltd, Puketui Haulage, Ltd (Auckland), and Bryant Bins, Ltd (Christchurch) — will
retain their identities. Carbonic Ice, an old Christchurch firm that exports 95 per cent at its product, dry-ice equipment, was taken over by Auckland interests early this year. Later, Carbonic Ice nought five waste-management firms belonging to the new major shareholders. Carbonic Industries will become the operating subsidiary for the design, development, and manufacture of carbondioxide gas producing plants, dry-ice plants, and fire extinguishers and fire protection equipment.
