November sale

The sale of mixed standardised stock will be held at the showgrounds, Addington, on Monday, November 11. This replaces one usually held at that time at Ashburton. Entries for the sale will close next month. A sale of harness will follow the selling of the horses, said Mr Paul Davies, the standardbred manager of the auctioneers, Wrightson Bloodstock, Ltd.

The company intends running a sale at Ashburton on

May 8 next when the emphasis will be placed on breeding stock, although a mixed range will be catered for, said Mr Davies. There will be no sale of mixed stock following the national yearling sales in Christchurch next February.
