Further N.Z. check in Paris
PA Auckland The New Zealand police had received no official information linking any French Intelligence organisation with the bombing of the Rainbow Warrior, said Detective Superintendent Allan Galbraith yesterday. Obviously information being discovered during the inquiry pointed to French people being implicated, he “But we have not linked it (the bombing) with any particular agency,” said Mr Galbraith. Three more New Zealand detectives would fly to Paris soon to look into the backgrounds of people being sought in the investigation. An Auckland policewoman has been in France investigating passport documents for a European couple who have been charged in Auckland with the murder of a member of the Rainbow Warrior crew. Mr Galbraith said the extra staff would look into the backgrounds of all the people being sought, including the crew of the missing New Caledonian yacht Ouvea. ~ , Two detectives would also soon go to New Caledonia.
