This is an acute referral hospital having special units in Surgery (general, vascular, facial and neurological), Intensive and Coronary Care, Paediatrics and Obstetrics, Trauma (soft tissue injuries and fractures to head injuries), Teaching (physiotherapy student unit). Physiotherapists have both an individual and a collective role in servicing these areas. The work is acute, often urgent, exciting and demands a responsible contribution to the acute care team. There is opportunity for rotation for those requiring experience, and longer placements for those with special skills or interest in any area. COLEDALE DISTRICT HOSPITAL Position No. 302 C Applications are Invited from qualified registered physiotherapists for the above position at Coledale District Hospital. Applicants interested in full-time or part-time work will be considered. The successful applicant will be part of a two person physiotherapy department working in a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team providing day hospital, inpatient and domiciliary services to the northern suburbs of Wollongong. PORT KEMBLA DISTRICT' HOSPITAL Position No. 303 P Applications are invited for the position of Chief Physiotherapist which will become vacant in October, 1985. The successful applicant will be responsible for a team of six physiotherapists providing inpatient, outpatient and rehabilitation day hospital service. The Port Kembla District Hospital is currently planning for the development of new rehabilitation and paramedical facilities which will upgrade current physiotherapy facilities and provide for the hospital’s expanding role In rehabilitation and orthopaedic surgery. Position No. 304 P Registered Physiotherapist required to fill permanent full-time position at Port Kembla District Hospital to commence as soon as possible. The successful applicant would be required to commence duties on a rotation roster. Areas include outpatients, general surgical and medical wards and rehabilitation.
