Latimer Square

Sir,—Why not shift Latimer Square further east by selling the western half of the square, possibly for a large tourist hotel and purchase up the equivalent area of land from the owners on the eastern side? There should be sufficient profit on the deals to develop Madras Street as a straight oneway street and to demolish the old buildings and attach the land to the undisturbed half of the square. Latimer Lodge should be retained, — Yours, etc., G. M. PETTIGREW. August 1, 1985.
