Ground conditions contain peat and the contractor should be experienced in this type of ground condition. Pipe sizes are 200 and 225 mm diameter and some 1700 metres of line is Involved. A precast pumping station 1800 mm diameter and 4.5 metres deep is also involved. The construction of an oxidation pond of 3.5 ha, with embankments up to 3.5 metres high is also required. The embankment is to be built on a thin clay layer overlaying peat. Some 20,000 cubic metres (solid measure) of Imported material is required tor the work. Contractors wishing to register should send sufficient details to determine their ability to carry out the work.
