APPLICATION FOR RECREATION PERMIT NOTICE IS HEREBY given that ALPINE SAFARI HUNTING TOURS have applied to the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Department of Lands and Survey, Private Bag, Christchurch, for a non-ex-cluslve recreation permit pursuant to Section 66A of the Lands Act 1948 to conduct hunting safaris, four wheel drive sight seeing trips, fishing trips in those areas in the Mackenzie Country, South Canterbury as are more particularly described in the schedule hereto: SCHEDULE (a) Hunting Safaris Thar and Chamois: (1) Glentanner Station, being that area bounded by the Whale Stream, the Ben Ohau Range Ridge, Birch Stream and the Mount Cook Road. (2) Braemar, Glenmore, Godley Station and unoccupied Crown Land: being that area bounded by Lake Tekapo in the east a line drawn parallel with the Braemar Road approximately 5 kilometres north, a line drawn parallel with the shore line of Lake Pukakl approximately 2 kilometres east, to centre line of the Jolly River as far as Pinnacle Stream then following the ridge of the Gammlck and Liebig Ranges and then down the south branch of the Rutherford Stream following the Godley riverbed to Lake Tekapo. (3) That area of unoccupied Crown Land bounded by the north east Gorge Stream of the McAulay River, the Two Thumb Stream, the ridge of the Two Thumb Range and the third Waterfall Stream. (4) Rona Station on the Two Thumb Range. (b) Hunting Safaris Waterfowl: (1) Godley and Glenmore Stations: The lower Godley and McAulay river beds where the rivers enter Lake Tekapo. (2) That area of Glenmore Station to the south of the Cass River mouth as far as Mailbox Inlet. (Waterfowl only). (c) Fishing Trips: Lake Alexandrlna and MacGregor. The lower MacAulay River where it discharges Into Lake Tekapo and Lake Tekapo generally. (d) Four Wheel Drive Trips: (1) Braemar Station from the Braemar Road following the Maryburn Stream through to the Jolly River Gorge area. (2) Glenmore Station from the Glenmore Godley Peaks Road up the Cass River to Memorial Hut. (3) Godley Station from the Glenmore Godley Peaks Road following the lake to the Godley River Valley then up the valley to the Rankin Hut. Maps showing the above areas are lodged with the application. OBJECTIONS to the granting of this application must be lodged with the said Commissioner no later than the 6th day of September 1985.
