This is a new scheme and people are sought who preferably have a knowledge of the fishing industry or maritime services. Details of the positions are as follows: SENIOR EXECUTIVE OFFICER Vacancy No. 7577 Duties: To organise the recruitment and placement of fisheries observers on appropriate vessels, to determine training needs and to liaise with top management of fishing companies and foreign national fisheries representatives. Qualifications: A tertiary qualification and/or proven leadership and management abilities. STAFF TRAINING OFFICER Vacancy No. 7578 Duties: To organise and run programmes to train fisheries observers and assist with the over-all management of the scheme. Qualifications: Minimum University Entrance with a teaching, technical or similar background. SENIOR CLERK Vacancy No. 7579 Duties: To provide administration services for the observer programme.
