Applicants would be expected to have an appropriate post-graduate university qualification and he or she will be required to teach and to conduct research in the Business Studies programme. The philosophy of the Business Studies programme is vigorously inter-disciplinary. There are separate departments of Accounting and Finance, Marketing and Management, and Administration. The appointee will also have the opportunity to be actively involved with the business community and the public sector by participating in the activities of the Business Computer Systems Research Centre and the Management, Education and Development Centre. UNIVERSITY OF OTAGO Dunedin SCIENTIFIC OFFICER/ TECHNICIAN Biological Control Department of Microbiology A position exists for a suitably qualified person to work as a Scientific Officer/Technlclan on the biological control of grass grub using a bacterial pathogen. The work involves identification and biotyping of various Isolates of bacteria and the in vitro propagation of selected strains. The appointment is for three year and is open to graduates in microbiology or an NZCS candidate with a background in biochemistry and microbiology.
