The position becomes vacant shortly through overseas promotion and the company is seeking a successor to manage its two plants in Rongotai (where the position is based) and the Hutt Valley, and to play a major part in developing and introducing new products. The main emphasis is on production efficiencies, inventory management and capital expenditure and capacity planning. The two plant managers, production planning and production engineering will report to the person appointed and there is excellent corporate manufacturing support in Auckland. Candidates should be engineers, preferably Qualified to NZCE, and have wide practical manufacturing experience including sheet metal fabrication.
