Lyndon to ride Fuego

PA Palmerston North Maree Lyndon has been booked to ride the promising Woodville galloper, Fuego, in the Brabazon Handicap at Riccarton on Saturday and in the Winter Cup. It will be Lyndon’s first day back since riding Mr Trick to victory in the $295,200 Fourex Cup at Doomben two weeks earlier. Lyndon has shone at Riccarton in the past, the latest occasion being in May when she won four races at the Bill Skelton Farewell meeting. Her mount, Fuego, has strong credentials, having won four of his five races this season for the trainer, Jeff Lynds. He has yet to make his open class debut, this having been Relayed because of

a cold. He was due to resume at Levin this week, but Lynds withdrew him because of the very heavy track.
