Joint lead lost
NZPA-AFP Bienne, Switzerland Eugenio Torre, of the Philippines lost his place as joint leader with only two rounds remaining in the interzonal chess tournament when he went down to Britain’s Nigel Short in the fifteenth round. Torre is now in a three-
way tie half a point adrift of the leaders, Rafael Waganian, of the Soviet Union, and the American .Yasser Seirawan. Waganian was held to another draw, this time by Amador Rodriguez of Cuba, while Seirawan moved into joint top spot after his win over China’s Li Zunian.
