Three held
Three men have been arrested in Palau on suspicion of murdering President Haruo Remelik, a Palau Government spokesman said. Remelik, aged 53, was killed by four bullets from an automatic pistol in front of his home after returning from a fishing trip on June 30. The police are looking for a fourth suspect. An election for a new president of the United States-administered trust territory in the Caroline Islands, 800 km east of the Philippines, has been tentatively set for August 28. — Agana, Guam.
