Police visit ship

The police boarded the French container ship Helene Delmas on her arrival at Lyttelton on Saturday. Nothing was found linking the ship or her crew to the sinking of the Greenpeace protest ship Rainbow Warrior in Auckland. , Senior-Sergeant Trevor Tozer, of the Auckland

C. 1.8., said yesterday that the interviews at Lyttelton had not assisted the police investigation into the sinking of the Rainbow Warrior.

The Helene Delmas was in Auckland Harbour at the time. Inquiries are being made aboard all vessels that were in the port.

The Helene Delmas arrived at Lyttelton almost three hours later than her scheduled arrival time of 2 p.m. on Saturday, and is expected to leave Lyttelton today.

Senior-Sergeant Tozer said the police inquiries had not detained the Helene Delmas.
