John Brown aid

Trafalgar House, the owner of Cunard shipping line, with interests also in construction and publishing, has agreed to take a 29.9 per cent stake in the troubled John Brown engineering group. The two companies said Trafalgar would put up £20.2 million ($NZ54.34 million) for the stake as part of a bid to refinance Brown and cut its debt burden by some £7O million (SNZIBB.3 million).
