New double-glazed windows give more warmth

A number of improvements in and around the Town Hall Restaurant have recently been completed, the biggest of these being the installation of thermal window double glazing of all restaurant windows. The new windows installed during the last two months by Thermal Windows, Ltd, incorporate thermal gas between panes and are designed to reduce heat loss by about 70 per cent.

The conversion to double glazing was undertaken for two major reasons. One was for the comfort of diners near the window areas during winter and the other was to substantially reduce heating costs. Down draughts caused by

the original windows caused some discomfort for diners located near the edge of the restaurant. The new windows elimi-

nate this problem and diners can now enjoy the panoramic views of the fountains and River Avon in total warmth and comfort.
