L.P.G. leak repaired

PA Nelson A leak from an eighttonne L.P.G. tank at Port Nelson on Saturday was repaired yesterday. The leak resulted in an area round the tank being cordoned off after emergency services were called to the port at 9.15 a.m. on Saturday. The leak came from frac-

tures in a vapour return pipe. Spray was played over the leak to disperse vapour and L.P.G. in the tank was transferred to 25kg cylinders. Firemen allowed traffic along the street by 4 p.m. and by 7 p.m. the installation was declared safe. The tank was refilled yesterday.
