School terms promised
PA Wellington Term dates for the 1986 school year will be gazetted on or before September 1, says the Education Department. The Wellington Education Board had criticised the department because of what it saw as a delay in announcing the dates. The board felt the delay was upsetting many people trying to plan holidays and work commitments for next year. The department’s administration director, Mr Brian Richards, said the department was not lax. Under education regulations term dates had to be posted by September 1.
