First Waring book
PA Wellington The former member of Parliament for Waipa, Ms Marilyn Waring, has written her first book, “Women, Politics and Power,” which will be launched in Auckland on August 4. According to the publisher, Allen and Unwin New Zealand, Ltd, she gives advice on how women can use the political system and
run for office. Ms Waring, who left Parliament last year, provides insights into her own experience in the political arena which she entered when she was 23 and left 8% years later. She also discusses the international feminist movement and how it affected her life, as well as issues such as A.N.Z.U.S., disarmament, and women in sport.
