Gower out for 166
NZPA-AAPNottingham The England cricket captain, David Gower, was denied his second Test double century after steering England to an impregnable position on the second day of the third test at Trent Bridge yesterday. At lunch, England was four wickets down for 369.
Gower, who made 166, was out in the last over before lunch. His runs came from 282 balls and included 17 boundaries. He was caught by Wayne Phillips off the bowling Simon O’Donnell. Earlier Mike Gatting was run out for 74.
