Officers charged
Two naval officers were charged over the grounding of the patrol boat H.M.A.S. Wollongong on May 31. A Navy spokesman said the charges resulted from legal proceedings over the incident off Gabo Island near the Victorian-New South Wales border. He said an initial hearing of the charges was expected to be held soon and would remain an internal Navy matter until completed.—Sydney.
