The appointees will be required to conduct Interviews at both private and non-private households as part of a nationwide survey into labour force participation patterns. Interviewing experience in fields of social or market research Is desirable but not essential as full training will be given. The successful applicants) will be working in the Westland area and should live in Greymouth/Hokitika or the surrounding district. Interviewers can expect to work up to 10 weeks a quarter. In the Initial quarter of the survey’s operation (that Is October to December, 1985) interviewers will work 20-25 hours per week. From Januay 1986 the number of hours will be reduced to 10-15 hours per week. The actual workload will vary according to the area in which the interviewer is located. Applicants must possess a current driver's licence, have the use of a reliable car and be on the telephone. Public Service Motor Vehicle Allowance rates will be paid for travel and payment for Interviewing will be based on the number of interviews completed.
