SENIOR ACCOUNTING APPOINTMENT Generous Remuneration Package, and Car Christchurch MAIR AND COMPANY LIMITED is relocating the Head Office functions of COLYER WATSON LIMITED from Wellington to Christchurch. Colyer Watson is a subsidiary of Mair, specialising in the export of hides, skins, tallow and other primary products. The relocation will require the integration of administrative and accounting activities with other Mair subsidiaries over a short period of time, with expanded responsibilities emerging after this initial period. In reporting to the Managing Director, the appointee will be responsible for the financial and management accounting requirements, including preparation of monthly and annual accounts; liaison with branches; and preparing budgets and cash flow forecasts, with support from clerical and accounting staff. Desirable attributes sought include: 9 Formal accounting qualifications, together with appropriate financial accounting experience. 9 Familiarity with computerised accounting systems. 9 A practical and adaptable approach. 9 Aged mid-twenties to mid-thirties. g The importance of this position to the company is recognised in a J generous salary, participation in the company bonus scheme, and | the provision of a company car.
