Blind girls assaulted
PA Auckland Indecent assaults on two blind schoolgirls at Manurewa, south Auckland, this week, were cowardly and cold-blooded, say the police. A girl, aged 13, was accosted by a man near Homai College for the blind on Wednesday morning, less than a day after another of the same age was indecently assaulted. The police yesterday appealed for public help to catch a man thought to be responsible for the incidents. They seek a Polynesian aged between 20 and 23. Detective Sergeant Tony Smith, of the Papakura C. 1.8., said: “He (the assailant) shows a certain amount of cold-bloodedness — very cowardly”.
