V.S.A. given $90,000
PA Wellington Volunteer Service Abroad has received a $90,000 sponsorship from Dunlop New Zealand, Ltd, for support of volunteers working in the Pacific and South-East Asia, says V.S.A. The gift is the largest single amount made in the history of the organisation. V.S.A.’s director, Dr David Stone, said a substantial part of the $90,000 sponsorship would be held in a special fund for future volunteer support. This would allow greater flexibility in project cooperation with the countries where V.S.A. volunteers worked, he said.
