One nomination

PA Wellington Only one challenge to the tenure of the test cricket selection panel of Frank Cameron, Don Neeley and John Guy has so far been received by the New Zealand Cricket Council. Central Districts has nominated lan Hampton to stand against the trio when the New Zealand Cricket Council meets to elect its panel for 1985-86 this weekend.

Mr Hampton, who has stood over the last two years, may not, however, be the sole challenger as nominations can be made at the meeting. The council’s secretary, Graham Dowling, said some associations had yet to indicate their preference. Mr Cameron, a selector since the 1968-69 season and for the' past decade the panel convenor, has indicated the coming summer will be his last.
