PA Wellington Parliament will continue the Budget debate and consider the introduction of bills next week, the Leader of the House, Mr Palmer, said when the House sat at 9.30 a.m. yesterday. Discussion of Ministerial replies in questions and private members’ notices of motion would be on Wednesday afternoon. The Minister of Trade and Industry, Mr Caygill, tabled the report of the Government Superannuation Fund. The Minister of Works and Development, Mr Colman, tabled the report of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research. Members presented 12 notices of motion. Ministers answered 20 questions. Debate then began on the committal stages of the Social Services Amendment Bill. The bill passed its committal stages without amendment and was given its third reading. Members then resumed the interrupted debate on the second reading of the Appropriation Bill (No. 2). The debate was interrupted when the House rose at 1.1 p.m.
