Tax avoidance of 20%

PA Sydney The New Zealand Government is losing between 15 and 20 per cent of its potential income tax total because of avoidance, according to the Under-Secre-tary of Finance, Mr de Cleene.

The Australian Government plans to introduce identification cards for all Australians to help stamp out tax avoidance. Mr de Cleene said he was impressed with the ready acceptance by Australians of the proposed move.
