Nepalese freed
The Nepal police have freed 900 of the 1000 people they rounded up after a series of terrorist bomb blasts killed seven people. The Home Affairs Minister, Mr Jog Mehar Shrestha, responding to complaints of unnecessary arrests, told the National Assembly that just 100 people remained in custody. Parliament, the Royal Palace, and the Government Secretariat were among the targets of the blasts that killed a legislator, an assembly officer, and four others. A revolutionary group seeking to overthrow the monarchy claimed responsibility.—Kathmandu.
