Landslips kill Indians
NZPA-AP New Delhi Torrential rains triggered landslips and collapsed houses in the southern Indian coastal state of Kerala, killing at least 45 people this week. The rains, which began lashing the area last Sunday, left thousands homeless, injured at least 75, and
submerged thousands of hectares of crop land, the Press Trust of India reported yesterday. It inundated at least two towns and completely cut off their road traffic. Most of the deaths occurred in house collapses and landslips at poor village districts, it said.
