The minimim qualification required is First Class Stationary Engine Driver’s Certificate but Third Class Marine Certificate would be preferred. The Shift Engineer will be responsible to the Senior Engineer for the operation of the plant, which includes a 450 p.s.i.g. boiler and a 3.25 megawatt turbo-alternator. The shift work is based on a 5-man roster and is worked for most of the year, but day work is worked during the annual plant overhaul period.
