Galactic Gain impresses

By

STEVE WILSON

Galactic Gain continued her recent excellent form with another impressive win at the Christchurch Greyhound Club’s sweepstake meeting at Queen Elizabeth II Park yesterday. Although taken on early by Bouncy Boy, which drew

the No. 1 box, she showed her class in the home stretch to win by three lengths from Bouncy Boy and Matagouri Rose, in a smart 34.20 s for the 560 m. Matagouri Rose’s run for third suggests that she will be one of the more favoured runners for the Roneo Laurels, a restricted-age event

for bitches on July 1. She should find the field for that event a little easier than yesterday’s. Craft Kim impressed when taking out the C 5 330 m event easily from Taurean Sky and the early pacemaker, Golden Dollar.

Other winners were: Tredeka’s Babe (CO; 560 m; 35.165), Supreme Pirate (Cl;

560 m; 34.685), Lady Tiree (C 3 560 m; 34.585), Arr Tee (CO; 330 m; 20.255), Little Caine (Cl; 330 m; 20.555), Two One Two (C2; 330 m; 20s), Merlin’s Magic (C2; 330 m; 20.335), Menlo Boy (C 3 330 m; 20.255), Graffle (C 3 330 m; 19.655), Knight Mirage (C 4 330 m; 19.745), Mystic Madam (veterans; 330 m; 20.155).
