Aircraft noise
Sir — Can anybody tell me why the Air Force is permitted to make such an intolerable din, buzzing their little planes over Upper Riccarton day and night? If I was to make a tenth of the racket they make I guarantee I would have a host of Government departments, organisations and societies threatening me with prosecution if I did not shut up. — Yours, etc., TIM MacLAREN. June 19, 1985.
