Public Notices Public Notices Mm AMENDMENT TO CROWN LAND MANAGEMENT PLAN THE COMMISSIONER OF CROWN LANDS, Department of Lands and Survey, Private Bag, Christchurch, is considering promoting, to the Land Settlement Board, a change to the RangitataRakaia Crown Land Management Plan. The change being considered is the repositioning of the Remote Experience Zone boundary from the centre of the Ramsay Glacier to the north-west edge of the glacier. This change is being considered in order to ensure that the zone boundary is identifiable on the ground and to facilitate the consideration of a commercial recreation permit application. Copies of the Rangitata-Rakaia Crown Land Management Plan are available at a cost of $4 per copy and maps of the proposed zone boundary change are available at a cost of 50 cents. Copies can be viewed free of charge or purchased at the offices of the Department of Lands and Survey in the State Insurance Building, Worcester Street, Christchurch or the Public Trust Building, Sophia Street, Timaru. Public comments on the proposal should be with the Commissioner of Crown Lands on or before July 12, 1985. APPLICATION FOR RECREATION PERMIT NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Mount Hutt Ski and Alpine Tourist Co., Ltd, has applied to the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Department of Lands and Survey, Private Bag, Christchurch for a recreation permit under the provisions of Section 66A of the Land Act 1948. The application is to: 1. Land helicopters and skiers on the Ramsay Glacier for the purpose of glacier skiing between June 1 and October 31 each year. 2. Land fixed-wing and helicopters on the airstrip in the Rakala riverbed constructed in June 1984. The Ramsay Glacier is situated in the Rangi-tata-Rakaia Crown Land Management Area, at the head of the Rakala River. Objections to the granting of this application must be lodged with the Commissioner of Crown Lands on or before July 12, 1985. WOOD, Chief Executive Officer { AmBKIv ) PROPOSED ADDITION TO ARTHUR’S PASS NATIONAL PARK (COX RIVER-BINSER SADDLE) IN TERMS of Section 8 of the National Parks Act 1980 the Director-General of Lands has been requested by the National Parks and Reserves Authority to investigate and report on a proposal that 6972 hectares of unoccupied Crown land and 8893 hectares of State forest land in the Cox Valley area and 3365 hectares of pastoral lease land be declared national park and added to Arthur’s Pass National Park.
