Jet mishap
NZPA-AP New York An engine cover broke loose and tore a footballsize hole in the fuselage of an American Airlines jumbo jet carrying 199 passengers yesterday, causing decompression in the cabin.
Airline officials said that no-one was injured and that the pilot was able to land the DCIO safely, although several passengers were shaken after the incident 16,400 feet above New York.
