Wainoni to get L.P.G. tank
The Christchurch City Council has granted approval for a four-tonne liquid petroleum gas tank at the rear of Wainoni Motors, a service station in Wainoni Road. A recent planning hearing considered the eighteenth L.P.G. tank application received by the council. The petrol station, established in 1967, is on a large site of 3023 sq m. About a third of the site is at the rear of the station building, and the tank will be placed there. Beyond the station’s back boundary is the Avondale School. The station is flanked by houses. Two objections from neighbouring households were received by the council.
