Computer prize in contest
PA Wellington A North Island school and a South Island school will each be awarded a computer and software in a competition for fund raising for Telethon. The prizes, which include a word processor, a spelling checker, and three disks of educational programmes, are valued about $2500. Schools may enter as many fund-raising events as they like but all events have an equal chance - of being awarded the prize, said a Telethon publicity officer, Ms Jane Dowell.
The names will go into a hat which will be drawn on television on July 6 on the "What Now" programme, and the presentation will be made on the same programme the next week.
