Allan Boath withdraws
PA Auckland A knee injury to the North Shore mid-fielder, Allan Boath, has forced him to withdraw from the All Whites soccer side which plays Central Region in Wanganui tomcrrow evening. Boath, hurt in a Rothmans league game in Nelson on Saturday, said yesterday that faced with the prospect of an c peration, he
has also withdrawn from the national side for next week’s three-match tour by Fiji. “It is the same knee that has troubled me in the past,” said Boath, “and I’m pretty sure it will require an operation.” Barry Weymouth, a clubmate of Boath, will make his debut for New Zealand tomorrow.
